Sherry Dole is a Mississippi based artist who is well-known worldwide not just for her whimsical animal art, but for her activism with animal rights and the environment.  She has won numerous awards for her works.  She is considered one of Mississippi’s state treasures for all her contributions in the arts (and with animals and environment).  Her main store can be found here
