Hello my name is Zack Gurganus. I grew up a Christian boy and raised by my parents. My Father is a pastor in lil Washington in North Carolina. My mother is a pianist for our church. I’ve always had a passion for art. I like to be different and unique. I went to South Central High School and took all art classes. My art teacher told me to stick with my talent for cartoons. To me art is what comes from inside you. When I see paintings of mountains or houses I tell my self it needs eye balls or brains with slime coming from it. I’ve always had a strange visual upon things. My grandmother had cancer and she passed away from fighting it all her life, she told me she wanted to see me become a famous artist and I told her I would pay for the medical bills. Her death took a lot from me and I became real depressed. I stayed away from art and went to paths I didn’t feel comfortable going through. When I was in high school I didn’t feel like talking or hanging with friends and before you know it my time was up and I graduated and was left with just my family. I look back to art and give it my very best and when I’m drawing, only I know what it really means. I love to make people smile because we need to spend as much time as we can being happy. Instead we worry and judge what we see or hear. Art makes this world interesting. If we didnt have art this world would be boring and have no life. Bring color into your life, be the cure and fight your dreams to come true. – Zack Gurganus
